Trek to Toubkal peak:

Jebel Toubkal at 4167m is the highest peak in Morocco and North Africa.This range provides the winter walker and mountaineer with a challenging objective over 4000m’s. I t all starts from November to April.

Our Winter 2010/ 2011programme consists of a combination of open scheduled trips with varying itineraries and private trips for small groups (min 4 / max 10 clients) that want to choose their own dates, route & itinerary.

Access to the Moroccan High Atlas has never been this easier. The booming of low airlines that fly daily from a wide selection of European hubs to the ancient trading city of Marrakech  made it simple for those who do not have time spending at airports. Many of our previous clients have combined a successful winter ascent of Toubkal with an easy going break out on the Atlantic rollers of the western seaboard, taken a trip to the dunes of the Sahara desert or just relaxed at one of the Riads in the medina. Others simply get lost in the souks and the maze alleyways of Marrakesh!

Season
The High Atlas range is usually open all year around and closes during heavy snowfall months and to avoid the cold freezing times some of these scheduled tours can blocked off. Do bear in mind that winter nights can be cold (the cosy duvets will keep you warm), and that Christmas / New Year is extremely popular.

Suitability
This trip should appeal to travellers who have an appreciation of nature and who seek accessible mountainous ranges. We offer a high degree of exclusivity and service well away from the large commercialised high Atlas valleys. Big enough to accommodate a group of 12-16 guests travelling in two or three 4×4 vehicles or mini-vans, comfortable rooms are available on a nightly basis to individuals, couples, families or groups of friends.
